All new collectors are concerned whether the lamp they are looking at is an original Aladdin or a reproduction.  And since only the tall and short Lincoln drape lamps were reproduced it makes answering the question pretty simple.  If it is any other lamp it hasn't been reproduced!!  And the short Lincoln drape reproductions are easy to identify.  Look at the pink lamp on the right above.  See the metal collar where the burner screws into the fount--if it has the metal ring it's a reproduction pure and simple.  The lamp on the left is an original (old) short Lincoln drape.  The burner screws into metal threads that are glued down in the glass and there is no metal collar. ( For ways to identify the tall Lincoln drapes see the section on tall Lincoln drapes in the picture gallery.)
