The amber lamp on the left shows the Solitaire foot found on some of the early short Lincoln drape lamps.  Note the definite stair step and the flat shoulder it creates in the glass foot.  The Alacite lamp on the right does not show the flat rim or step and the shoulder is much more rounded from top to bottom.  This is the foot found on most short Lincoln drape lamps.  The stair step and flat shoulder are the things to look for when trying to identify if a short Lincoln drape has the Solitaire foot.  While the  Solitaire foot is also larger in diameter than the normal foot, this is not readily apparent without measuring the lamp or comparing it to another.
